ADD WHIMSY TO YOUR WORKSPACE

If you have a home office this is your sign to refresh your space, clear the clutter and bring a little joy to your desk. I’m a big fan of #dopaminedecor and when I surround myself with things that spark joy, I find that I genuinely want to spend time at my desk.

A few ideas to get you started:
✨ light a candle you love
✨ add positive affirmation cards
✨ hang up prints or art (this NYC watercolor is from @kellyannetangstudio)
✨ swap plain pens for patterned ones
✨ hang a disco ball in the window
✨ add something that reminds you of a beautiful memory (like this taxi cab which was a name card holder at our wedding)
✨ decorate with real plants 🪴
✨ bonus if you can put a walking pad under your desk

Here’s everything I ate today at 3 months postpartum #noosapartner 🥑🍓🫐🍌

BREAKFAST:
my favorite green smoothie made with banana, frozen pineapple, spinach, vanilla protein powder, almond milk and the secret ingredient — @noosayoghurt! I used their vanilla bean flavor and it adds such a nice sweetness to the smoothie and makes it extra creamy.

Noosa yoghurt is available nationally and you can use their store locator to find it near you! They have lots of delicious flavors to choose from like blueberry, peach and strawberry rhubarb.

LUNCH:
Bagged salad mixes have come in handy since we’re limited with time over here 😅This one was a kale ceasar mix that I jazzed up with tomato, cucumber, blueberries, avocado and rotisserie chicken. Always gotta have it with a side of bread (B made this homemade focaccia and it’s so good!)!

SWEET TREAT
I love an afternoon sweet treat and today was cold brew with cookie dough cold foam and a chocolate chip pb cookie

DINNER:
This 30 min meal featured miso glazed salmon baked in the oven with a side of soba noodle & veggies (mushrooms, carrots and snap peas). It’s super flavorful and very easy to make!

It can be easy to fall into the mindset that the only way to be active is to squeeze in a full hour workout, but there are so many ways to add more movement into your day!

Remember that all the little bursts of movement do add up ☺️

👟 Take short movement breaks throughout the day to stretch, take a quick walk, or do a very short 10 min workout at home

👟 Choose the more active option like taking the stairs, parking a little further away from the store, or walking/biking to your local coffee shop instead of driving

👟 Stack little exercises while doing other things around the house. You can take a stroll on a walking pad or do squats while watching tv or walk around the house while on the phone

👟 Get organized and commit by adding movement to your calendar! You can even set reminders on your phone

👟 Make it fun! Set up a weekly walking date with a friend, book a class at your favorite studio, join an exercise challenge or sign up for a race, and make a good playlist to pump you up

Stop what you’re doing because I promise you’re going to want to make this Strawberry Glaze Protein Smoothie🍓 on repeat this spring!

There was a little inspo taken from the famous Erewhon x Hailey Beiber smoothie but mostly, this is a simple combo that ✨hits✨ every time and features ingredients you most likely already have!

SAVE THE RECIPE to try later:

✨ 1 banana or avocado
✨ 1 cup frozen strawberries
✨ 1/4 cup freeze dried berries
✨ 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter
✨ 1 serving vanilla protein powder
✨ 1 cup almond milk
✨ Ice (unless using frozen banana)
✨ Optional mix ins: collagen peptides and sea moss

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Line glass with coconut cream and crushed freeze dried strawberries. Pour smoothie in!

It’s wild to think I’ve been moving with my ba

It’s wild to think I’ve been moving with my baby girl for nearly a year… 38 weeks in my belly and now 9 weeks by my side 🥹

{Keep in mind I didn’t start any workouts till I was 7 weeks postpartum and I’m still going to need pelvic floor therapy}

When it came to prenatal workouts, I was fortunate to have felt well enough to be able to exercise throughout my entire pregnancy and I truly believe it was the BEST thing I could have done!

Working out during pregnancy can help:

✨ reduce the risk of gestational diabetes and high blood pressure
✨ manage aches and pains
✨ reduce stress
✨ strengthen your baby’s heart
✨ boost your mood
✨ prepare your body for labor & delivery
✨ speed up recovery

Now that she is here, my hope is to lead by example and show her just how much joy there can be in working out and how many fun ways there are to practice self care & move our bodies! 💕
