The secret is out and at this point most of you know that Bay and I are expecting our rainbow baby this December! Pregnancy after experiencing a loss is such a mental rollercoaster and I’m not going to lie, this summer has been very emotionally and physically exhausting. Thankfully, after hitting the 20 week mark earlier this week and with it, the official half way point of pregnancy, I’m finally feeling more like myself again.
Last year, I shared a roundup of some of my favorite things that I was loving and I figured it was time to update you all with my 30 things I’m loving lately: Summer 2024 edition! Of course there are quite a few things that are related to my growing baby bump, but there are plenty of none pregnancy items that I’ve been loving lately too.
All of the pink links are clickable and you can find most of these linked on my LTK too.
ATHLEISURE STYLE
- FPMovement x Hatch maternity skirt in white: Pictured above! I’ve been living in tennis skirts and love that this one has enough fabric to cover my growing bump
- Bumpsuit the Cindy Romper in Chocolate: Literally the softest material I’ve ever felt and fits like a dream! Can’t wait to wear it in the fall with an oversized blazer or sweater
- New Balance 530 Sneakers : These have quickly become my everyday pair of sneakers because they are so comfortable and go with everything!
- FPMovement x Hatch hot shot maternity onsie: They have this in non-maternity style as well and it’s quite possibly the most comfortable outfit you’ll ever wear. Just layer a sports bra or tank under and you’re good to go!
- Lilybod “lilysoft” Frankie sports bra and leggings in yellow: Buttercream yellow is the “it” color of the season and this is such a supportive, soft and flattering activewear set! I sized up since I’m preggo but it runs true to size and is currently on sale
- LV Circle Cat Eye Sunglasses (similar to THESE from Gucci): About 5 years ago I purchased my first pair of designer sunglasses from Tiffany’s and wear them nearly every single day. So this year I decided to splurge on a second pair, this time a rectangle style from Louis Vuitton and they instantly dress up every outfit. I’ve been wearing them non stop!
BOOKS
- A Court of Thorns & Roses (series) by Sarah J Mass: It’s no secret that my latest obsession has been the ACOTAR series and now that I’ve devoured all 5 books, I’m patiently waiting for them to come out with a TV show. If you’re a fan of fantasy, romance, a strong female protagonist, and a heavy dose of “smut”, this is for you.
- The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah: Last year I shared The Nightingale was a favorite of mine by KH and this book rivals it in all the best ways. Such a powerful, emotional story of human resilience, domestic violence, and survival against all odds.
- The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren: I love everything I’ve read by Christina Lauren and this book was such a fun, summer read! It gives Crazy Rich Asian vibes with really likeable characters, family drama, a tropical island wedding and of course, a spicy romance.
- Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt: One of the most heartwarming books I’ve read in years and one that feels like a warm hug. It’s a delightful story of the friendship formed between a captive octopus and an elderly aquarium cleaning lady, and how we may find light through the darkness of grief.
- Throne of Glass (series) by Sarah J Mass: I’m currently on the third novel within this YA fantasy series that came highly recommended after I finished ACOTAR and so far I’m really enjoying it! This is a story of a young female assassin and her journey to win her freedom from a tyrannical ruler.
SKINCARE
- Biossance omega repair cream: I use quite a few products from Biossance but this cream has truly made a difference in the look and feel of my skin. Fair warning, it does NOT smell good, but I promise it’s worth it.
- Drunk elephant mineral sunscreen: This tinted mineral sunscreen is incredible! The key ingredient is zinc oxide (so very pregnancy friendly) and I love how beautifully it blends with just the right color.
- Necessaire the body lotion: Literally the best body lotion I’ve ever tried — it’s not sticky or greasy and I love that it’s unscented. It absorbs so well and has different peptides and vitamins that give your skin a more firm appearance.
- Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Eye Patches: These have been a favorite of mine for years and I’ve been using them a lot more now that I’m having a bit of trouble sleeping. I recommend putting them in the fridge for an extra cooling effect on your under eye bags in the morning.
- Hatch Belly Oil: I loveee how lightweight and fast absorbing this oil is and have been using it both in the mornings and evenings to help keep my skin hydrated and (hopefully) prevent stretch marks from appearing during my pregnancy
FITNESS PROGRAMS
- Peloton Strength classes: I’ve been sticking with the regular strength training classes on Peloton and have been referencing the workouts with Callie when she was pregnant last year
- The Sculpt Society prenatal program with Megan Roup: This is one of the best prenatal programs since it has different workouts for every week of pregnancy, all that are low/no impact and feel really good as your body changes.
- Nourish Move Love prenatal program on Youtube: If you’re looking for a free resource with a good mix of strength training, cardio, HIIT, barre, core and pelvic floor workouts I’ve been really loving these ones!
HYPER FIXATION MEALS
- Breakfast yogurt bowl: You all know how much I love my yogurt bowls and they have been my biggest daily craving during pregnancy! I use 2% FAGE greek yogurt, Purely Elizabeth granola and always top with a nut butter and fresh fruit.
- Protein smoothies: You can find over 25 of my favorite smoothie recipes in my FREE e-book!
- “Marry Me” butter beans : This is a super easy vegetarian dinner that you can whip up in 30 minutes! It’s super nourishing and tastes great with a side of crusty bread.
- Lemon Zucchini pasta : This pasta tastes like summer in a bowl and has been one of our weekday favorites! It’s really easy to make and we typically add grilled chicken on top for some extra protein
- Greek chicken meatballs bowl : One of my favorite dishes, chicken meatballs are so easy to make and we add them to a bowl with orzo (or rice), tzaikiki, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, feta and parsley.
RANDOM PREGNANCY THINGS
- Pregnancy Journal : I found this journal on Etsy and knew it would be a lovely keepsake. I fell a bit behind on filling it out each week but it’s easy enough to catch up. I love that it has spots for photos, ultrasound pics, and your thoughts/moods/feelings every step of the way.
- Little Bean App: Aside from Flo, this was one of the first apps I downloaded when I was TTC. It analyzes the ingredients in any of your skincare/cosmetic products and lets you know if there are any potentially harmful ingredients that could harm your growing baby.
- Ritual prenatal & choline supplements: I take both of these every night before bed to help avoid the dreaded “fish burps.” It’s a bit pricey but I feel assured that the ingredients are pure and there aren’t any extra fillers, colors and additives you can find in other vitamins. The subscription option works perfectly and they always come right before I need the next monthly dose.
- Gruvi NA Sangria: This is by far one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I’ve tried so far! Definitely recommend adding to a wine glass with ice and some orange slices for a fun, summery beverage!
- Flowy White Maxi Dresses: I can’t get enough of long flowy dresses lately because they’re perfect for accommodating the growing bump and they’re so comfortable! THIS is the one I wore in my engagement photos (and pictured below) and THIS is another one I’ve been wearing on repeat.
I hope you all enjoyed this roundup of 30 things I’m loving lately!
