Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by. I know I’ve been slacking a bit on getting regular posts up for you but trust me, I’m doing my best to keep up with life! This post was originally meant for a recent Instagram partnership I did with one of my fav brands (5 points to anyone who can guess) — but I ended up loving this look so much that I wanted to share all the photos with you.
So here ya go! A studio to street look that’s chic, fun and super easy to throw together. I guarantee if you live in NYC, you probably already have most of what I’m wearing in your closet but I’ve linked the exact details at the very bottom of the post.
Honestly, my style has evolved a lot over the past few years and I’m really happy that living in NYC has made me thoroughly embrace the athleisure trend. From running errands, to getting brunch with friends, to hitting up my favorite yoga studios — street tights + denim = a really simple and smart combo.
What I love about this look is that it’s super comfortable and really easy to build on as we move into the cooler, Fall months. Just throw on a long sleeve shirt, roll down the jacket sleeves, add a scarf and maybe opt for ankle booties instead of the sneaks and you’re good to go!
If you’re going to invest in one athleisure item I’d go with a solid pair of street tights. And if you’re wondering what makes “street tights” different than yoga pants, I’ll tell you — there’s not really a huge difference. 😉 The good ones are just a little thicker and usually have some kind of functional detail (like pockets). When in doubt, just make sure they aren’t see-through and don’t have any crazy patterns. And remember, black or fake leather is always a good choice.
My tights are from Athleta but I’ve linked a few other options below!
Once you have your base yoga outfit (sports bra + leggings) just add your favorite jacket and some personal details. I opted for my fav MVMT watch, Urban Outfitter sunglasses, Rebecca Minkoff handbag and these girly and fun sneaks I scored at Aldo! I think the colorful pins give the outfit a little something extra.
To shop my look just scroll through these goodies below. And if you come up with your own “studio to street” style, I’d love to see it! Be sure to tag or send me a DM so I can check it out.
Happy shopping!
With love,
