Where my corporate boss babes at? I started playing around with showing off my office #ootd on Instagram Story each week and a few of you requested that I make this a more dedicated thing. To be honest, I’ve been wanting to incorporate more non-fitness fashion into this blog and I think that this is a great way to start! I’ve been thinking a lot about the direction of Headstands & Heels and how it can not only best represent my life, but also serve a purpose for all of you… and right now that means featuring both of my worlds: corporate life at a PR firm and my yoga life outside of the office.
To kick off this new office style series, I wanted to go with one of my fav outfits to date. This black, white and leopard print combo.
There’s nothing more chic than the right black and white ensemble. It’s classic. Timeless. And when you find the right mix of fitted pieces that provide structure while also not making you look stiff as a board, you know you have a winning outfit. The white button down and black dressy jogger pants are from Express — which happens to be my go-to when it comes to classic office attire. If you’re ever struggling to find an outfit that is both cute and appropriate for a big meeting, anything from Express, Banana Republic, or J Crew should do the trick.
I’m pretty proud of these beautiful leopard print flats that I scored on major sale from Neiman Marcus Last Call. Anytime you can score a pair of Karl Lagerfeld flats for less than $40 is a good day in my book. I love that these are really structured and have a gorgeous ombre affect that you can see clearly on the sides. I was finally able to kiss my old worn out leopard print flats goodbye!
To finish the look, I paired it with an old black and gold necklace (also from Express) and my new black and rose gold watch from MVMT. I’m pretty obsessed with this watch, not just because it was a birthday gift from Bay, but also because I have a really pretty rose gold metal band that I can swap the black one out for. I’m all about pieces that are chic, functional and give you lots of different options. My Kate Spade tote is big enough to hold my laptop, wallet, and other daily necessities — which is why it’s my usual office handbag of choice.
You can shop my looks below. Some of the pieces are a little older so I’ve linked similar outfits here:
Hope you all enjoy this new side of Headstands & Heels! I’m very open to feedback, comments or any questions you may have so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
With love,
